COMMUNITY DAY - FUN DAY

A win win day for NSW Cancer Council and for the Community!  A time for gatherings with old friends and neighbours, in between voting and a sausage sizzle...

The RFS brought their fire tenders for demonstration and advice on preparation for the fire season to those who were interested, the Community Garden Group offered a tasty selection of pickles, james and preserves (ideal for Christmas gifts) together with plants, NACCAi had an information stall and Bob Reid was on hand for any questions, the Stitch Gatherers were able to finally place their gorgeous Christmas wares for sale together with numerous raffle prizes and a bric-a-brac stall too.

Even the weather held off and enabled a dry meander between the stalls and tables.  A pat on the back to all those generous local residents who dug deep into their pockets for a worthy cause (we have all been touched by the dreadful Cancer somewhere along the line) and to the hardy volunteers who started really early in the day to bring this all about and stayed to clear away... plus the volunteers manning the Coffee in the Cove.
